Casework
BGF Case Workers support people who present with varying levels of complexity and support needs.
BGF Caseworkers work with every person to develop an individualised care plan based on the individual’s unique circumstances and support needs.
Caseworkers help people in several ways, including but not limited to:
- Direct practical support
- Support navigating external agencies (E.g. Services Australia, NDIS, Aged Care)
- Financial assistance
- Medical support including understanding medications and treatments (in collaboration with clinical support services)
- Housing
- Referrals to other support services
- Work Development Orders (WDO)
- Energy Account Payment Assistance (EAPA)
- Support letters and advocacy
- Harm minimisation, including education and support to reduce high risk behaviours
- Outreach support
Please note that currently, BGF is based in NSW and SA only. But with the generosity of our supporters, we hope to expand our reach even further.
