This program will be made up of 6 art therapy workshops that run for 1.5hrs week.
This Creative Wellness program will be an opportunity for people to experience the benefits of using the creative process as means to enhance wellbeing. It will take a strengths based and trauma informed approach.
Each week a different theme will inform the direction of the weekly group. These themes will explore issues related to social and emotional wellbeing - through the creative process, and may include topics such as:
• Values
• Resilience
• Self-compassion
• Managing big feelings
• Creative Mindfulness
• Personal strengths
• Support networks
In a safe and non-judgemental environment, with Fiona’s gentle guidance, people will have a chance to connect with thoughts, feelings, and experiences, as well as hopes and dreams. No art making experience is required to benefit from art therapy.
Fiona has facilitated art therapy groups in numerous hospital settings and community based mental health services for over 20 years. Her work with groups takes a playful approach, while also making room for meaningful and thoughtful creative self-expression. Fiona is passionate about the role of art and creativity in helping people through periods of transition and growth, whilst also celebrating their strengths and resilience.
At the end of the 6 weeks, you will be invited to showcase your work in an art exhibition. All participants will have the choice to remain anonymous.

Please note, programs need a minimum of 6 attendants to proceed. If less than 6 participants sign up by the start date, applicants will be placed on a waitlist until the minimum level is reached.
