BGF’s Art Phoenix is a 4 week art program, The workshops are run by a local art tutor.
At each session, participants meet for a 2-hour workshop where they learn about the different forms of art. Recognising the mental, emotional and physical benefits of creatively expressing yourself through the medium of art, the workshops will focus on developing artistic skills.
The theme of the course will be ‘artistic expression’ and participants are encouraged to draw on their own life experiences of living with HIV for inspiration. The workshops focus on helping people with HIV to not only think about their illness in a different way, but to use art to improve their quality of life.
Please note, programs need a minimum of 6 attendants to proceed. If less than 6 participants sign up by the start date, applicants will be placed on a waitlist until the minimum level is reached.
“Anney has a professional background and whilst that professionalism informed all her choices, I feel that she suited each class to every level of ability and talent. Always respectful, Anney was supportive without being patronising and disciplined without being didactic.” Claudia, 37.
