We are writing to all of our supporters to let you know that BGF’s Art Matters exhibition launch scheduled for the 26th March and our Auction scheduled for the 21st May have been postponed on the recommendations of the Australian Government and health authorities regarding non-essential, organised gatherings.
Both of these events are key fundraising activities on the BGF social calendar and the decision to postpone was not taken lightly. We are hugely disappointed but we must follow the advice of health officials to ensure the health and safety of all attendees and everyone involved in the events.
We are currently working through the implications of this decision and plan on rescheduling both events for later in the year. We will provide further information as soon as it’s available.
We thank you for your ongoing support of the work of BGF and really look forward to seeing you at one of our events when they can be responsibly rescheduled.
HalloQueen is BGF’s annual trivia night for our community of fundraisers. Supporters get dressed up in Halloween ghoul, compete against each other for the glory of the trivia king & queen crown, and have a chance to win and bid on some fantastic prizes.
HalloQueen drag hosts oversee the scary proceedings and keep everyone in check.
HalloQueen takes over the Paddo RSL on the 29th October 2020.
So whether you’re a regular or a novice, if you’re up for a fabulously camp entertainment experience, then you can’t go wrong with HalloQueen!
Each year, we invite people across NSW to participate in a range of fundraising and awareness raising events to make World AIDS Day, which falls on the 1st December every year.
World AIDS Day provides us with an opportunity to educate people about HIV and how support for people living with HIV is still very much needed as well as raise funds for BGF’s services and programs.
You can offer to sell red ribbons on behalf of BGF or attend our remembrance events. Further details will be coming soon.
Every year, we come together to celebrate our roots in the LGBTIQ community by embracing all things Mardi Gras! We have a presence at the Mardi Gras Fair Day and always have a float in the Mardi Gras parade. If you’re interested in being part of our Mardi Gras activity in 2020, please get in touch.
